Pollution and Wind Rose Generator

Upload a CSV file containing meteorological (wind direction) and pollution or wind speed data to generate a plot.

Input File Format

Your CSV file should contain the following data, in order:

  • Column 1 - datetime: Date time stamp (2025-04-01 04:06:16+00:00).
  • Column 2 - wind direction: Wind direction in degrees (0-360, North=0/360).
  • Column 3 - pollutant concentration or wind speed: The concentration of the pollutant or the speed of the wind.

Column names can be whatever you choose (or none), but in order for your data to be processed correctly, columns must be in the order specified above.

Example Row:

Datetime (UTC) Met Winddir Avg. (deg) 10 Min Avg. (µg/m³)
2025-04-01 04:06:16+00:00 181.3 0.1914

Generate Plot

Select Rose Type: default calms value will be set accordingly
Select Units with which your data is represented
Choose start and end datetime of data to include in the plot

If no input, bins will be set to 6 parts between min and max values.
Option to add a more descriptive plot title
Choose whether wind frequency will be represented in percentages
Control the space between direction spokes (1.0 for no space)
Set the outer radial limit (If value chosen is less than the first radial tick, radial ticks will not show)
Pollution concentration or wind speed values below this threshold will not be plotted
